Miami Yacht Charter With a Private Chef: How to Plan the Food on Your Day at Sea

Plan a Miami yacht charter with a private chef: menus, diets, timing and off-market yachts. Call or WhatsApp 305-465-5555, reply within 15 minutes.

Dining table set for lunch on the deck of the 88 foot Sirena yacht, Miami skyline across Biscayne Bay

On a private yacht in Miami, the food often decides how the day feels. A cold sandwich box and a warm plate served at anchor with the skyline behind you are two very different charters. LUXTERIA Concierge • Miami plans the yacht and the menu together, so the chef, the captain and the timing all work as one.

Private chef or yacht catering: what is the difference

  • Catering means the food is prepared on land and brought aboard ready to serve: platters, sushi, salads and desserts. It suits shorter charters and sandbar afternoons.
  • A private chef comes aboard, finishes or cooks the food on the yacht and serves it course by course. It suits longer days, sunset dinners and celebrations.
  • A mix of both works well for many groups: catered platters for the swim stop, then a chef-plated dinner on the way back to the city lights.

We tell you honestly which option fits the yacht you choose, since galley size and deck layout differ from boat to boat.

Menus that work on the water

  • Brunch at anchor: fresh fruit, eggs made to order, pastries and juices for a morning departure.
  • Raw bar and sushi: chilled seafood, ceviche and rolls, easy to enjoy between swims.
  • Mediterranean lunch: grilled fish, mezze, salads and bread, light enough for a day in the sun.
  • Sunset dinner: a plated menu served at the table while the yacht cruises Biscayne Bay toward Downtown Miami.
  • Celebration touches: a cake at sunset, champagne on ice and flowers on the table.

Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and supervised kosher requests are planned ahead with the chef. Tell us about allergies when you book, not on the day.

How the day comes together

  1. You share the date, group size and occasion. We match a yacht from our yacht charters with the right deck and dining space.
  2. We send menu options. The chef proposes a menu for the hours you are aboard, and you choose or adjust it.
  3. We time the food to the route. Lunch is served at the anchor stop, dinner on the cruise home, never while the yacht is running at speed.
  4. Drinks and ice are ready. Everything is aboard and chilled before you step on.
  5. One concierge stays on call. Changes on the day go through one person.

Pair the yacht with the rest of your stay

Many guests book the yacht day as part of a longer stay. A chef who cooks on the yacht can also cook a dinner at your villa, and a waterfront home with a private dock lets the yacht collect you at the house. See our private chefs, our villa collection and our chauffeur service for the car to the marina.

Off-market yachts

Some of the yachts we arrange are never listed on charter websites. Owners share them privately with a small circle of trusted concierges. Send us your date and group and we show you off-market options next to the yachts on our site, including the 116′ Pershing GTX and the 88′ Sirena.

Where the chef-served day goes

The classic route is Biscayne Bay with the Miami skyline, a stop at the Haulover sandbar for a swim, then a slow cruise back at sunset. For a longer day, the Intracoastal runs north past Bal Harbour and Sunny Isles Beach. Your captain always makes the final call on route and conditions.

FAQ

Can I have a private chef on a yacht charter in Miami?

Yes. A private chef can come aboard to cook and serve on the yacht. We confirm that the galley and deck of your chosen yacht suit the menu before you book.

Is catering included in a Miami yacht charter?

Usually not. Food and drinks are planned as an add-on, so you choose exactly what you want, from platters to a full chef-served menu. Rates are on request.

Can the chef handle allergies and special diets?

Yes. Share allergies and diets when you book, and the chef plans the menu around them. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and supervised kosher menus can be arranged.

How far ahead should I book a yacht with a private chef?

As early as you can for weekends, holidays and event weeks. For other days, message us and we check availability right away.

Can the same chef cook at our villa too?

Often, yes. We can plan a yacht lunch and a villa dinner with the same chef, so the whole stay has one kitchen team.
