Bay Harbor Islands is a small town made of two islands in Biscayne Bay, just west of Bal Harbour and Surfside. It is walkable and low key, with Kane Concourse for cafes and shops and Bal Harbour Shops across the bridge.
The homes
The west island is mostly single-family homes, many on the water with a dock. The east island has more low-rise apartment buildings. Waterfront homes look over the bay or Indian Creek.
Privacy and access
The residential streets are quiet and see little through traffic. The Broad Causeway links the town to the mainland and Collins Avenue links it to the beach.
By boat
Homes with a dock have quick access to the bay, and Haulover Inlet and its sandbar are a short run north.
