The islands, one by one
Six islands line the causeway from Miami Beach to the mainland: Belle Isle, Rivo Alto, Di Lido, San Marino, San Marco and Biscayne Island. Belle Isle, at the Miami Beach end, mixes bay-view homes with a few residential towers. Rivo Alto, Di Lido and San Marino are the classic villa islands, with one ring road and homes facing open bay water. San Marco and Biscayne Island sit closer to downtown Miami, with skyline views at night.
Who the islands suit
Families like the quiet streets and the space for a pool day at home. Groups of friends like being ten minutes from South Beach dinners without hearing the city at night. Guests who want a yacht day get the most from it here, because the boat can tie up at the house. For business travelers, Brickell and downtown are a short drive across the bay.
Yacht access from the house
Homes on the open-bay side of the islands have the easiest run to Biscayne Bay, the sandbar and Star Island. The causeway has low bridges, so tall yachts usually meet you on the bay side. Tell us the size of the group and we match the yacht to the dock. Most of our day yachts take up to 12 guests.
