Flying Private to Miami: From the Jet to Your Villa
Flying private to Miami this season? Which South Florida airport to use, how the arrival works and how we have a car, chef and villa ready. 24/7 concierge.

From late fall to spring, South Florida is one of the busiest private aviation destinations in the country. The holidays, Art Basel in December and the winter season bring a steady stream of jets into Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton.
Flying private saves hours on the way in. The goal is to keep that time on the ground too: a car at the aircraft, a house that is ready, dinner already planned. That is where a concierge makes the difference.
We arrange the full arrival, from the private jet or helicopter to the moment you walk into your villa. A real person answers within 15 minutes, 24/7.

Which South Florida airport to fly into
Private flights to the Miami area usually use one of several airports. The right one depends on where you are staying, the size of the aircraft and your operator’s preference.
- Miami-Opa Locka Executive (OPF). A popular choice for private flights to Miami, Miami Beach, Bal Harbour, Surfside, Sunny Isles Beach and Aventura.
- Miami International (MIA). Has private aviation facilities, and is close to Brickell, downtown Miami and Miami Beach.
- Fort Lauderdale Executive (FXE). Convenient for Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood and the northern part of Miami-Dade.
- Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International (FLL). Also serves private aircraft, close to Fort Lauderdale and Hollywood.
- Boca Raton (BCT). For stays in Boca Raton and the area around it.
- Palm Beach International (PBI). For stays in West Palm Beach.
Your aircraft operator confirms the airport, the private terminal (FBO), customs needs for international flights, and arrival times. We coordinate everything on the ground around that plan.
How the arrival works
- Before you fly. We receive your flight details, number of passengers and luggage, and any special needs: child seats, pets, wheelchairs, privacy.
- The car. A chauffeur meets the aircraft or waits at the private terminal, depending on the airport rules. For larger groups or luggage we add a second car or a Sprinter. See chauffeur service.
- The drive. Water, phone chargers and the route planned for traffic.
- The house. The villa is ready: air conditioning on, groceries in, flowers on the table, staff waiting.
- The first evening. A chef cooking, or a table booked for later. See private chefs and restaurant reservations.
Flying commercial for part of the trip? We arrange a VIP meet and greet at the airport and the airport to villa drive.
Arriving for the season
For longer stays, private flights often come in waves: the family first, guests later, staff in between. We keep one calendar for all arrivals and departures, with a car for each. See our guide to the Miami winter season villa rental.
Arriving for Art Basel or the holidays
The busiest weeks of the year are also the busiest at the private terminals. Roads around Miami Beach are packed during Art Basel and the holiday weeks, so timing matters. We plan the drive around your landing time and your first plan of the day. See Art Basel villa stay, Christmas and New Year villas and our New Year’s Eve yacht charter.
From the jet to the water
Some guests go straight from the airport to the bay. We can have a private crewed yacht waiting at a marina or at your villa’s dock, so the first afternoon is on the water. See yacht charter and superyacht charter. For 13 or more guests we arrange larger licensed vessels inspected and certified by the U.S. Coast Guard.
Where you stay
The closer the right airport is to your home, the shorter the drive. A few pairings our guests like:
- Bay island and waterfront homes in Miami Beach, with Opa Locka or Miami International.
- Oceanfront calm in Sunny Isles Beach, Golden Beach or Bal Harbour, with Opa Locka.
- Canal homes in Fort Lauderdale or Hollywood, with Fort Lauderdale Executive.
- West Palm Beach, with Palm Beach International.
Many of our homes are off-market and shown on request only. See the villa collection or message us for the private list.
Privacy on arrival
High-profile guests often care most about the first ten minutes. We keep the arrival quiet: one car, a discreet driver, and no details shared beyond the people who need them. When needed, we add private security and discreet staffing.
Departure day, done right
The last day matters as much as the first. We schedule a late checkout with the owner where possible, arrange luggage pickup, plan the drive around wheels up, and make sure nothing is left behind at the house. If your plans change and the flight moves, we move the car, the chef and the house staff with it.
Helicopter transfers
For short hops, a helicopter can save time on the busiest days, for example between Miami and West Palm Beach during the season. Landing sites are limited and must be approved, so we confirm every leg with the operator in advance. See private jet and helicopter charter.
A checklist for the flight department
If you have an assistant or flight department, we work with them directly. The details we share back are simple: driver name and phone, car type and plate, the address of the villa and the gate code instructions, and the plan for the first evening. One thread, one contact, confirmed in writing.
What to send us
- the flight date, landing time and airport, as soon as you have them
- the operator or flight department contact, if you would like us to coordinate directly
- passengers and luggage
- where you are staying, or whether you need a villa
- what should be waiting: a car, a chef, a yacht, a table
Rates on request.
