What it is like
Key Biscayne is a barrier island reached over the Rickenbacker Causeway from Brickell. It feels like a small village, with two large parks, Crandon Park and Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park with its historic lighthouse, and calm beaches.

Privacy and access
There is one road on and off the island, and no through traffic. Evenings are quiet, which suits families and longer stays.
By boat
Crandon Marina and private docks give fast access to Biscayne Bay. The Stiltsville houses and the flats south of the island are a classic day on the water.
